Pete Bland Sports - Retail Partner
Pete Bland Sports first opened in 1981 and is now one of the leading running specialists in the UK. Pete and Anne Bland were the brains and motivation behind the dream and are largely responsible for its continuing success. Pete and Anne's son Matthew has handled the day to day running of the business for the last 12 years.
Their famous red van attends all of our trail running events with race day essentials on the latest INOV8 kit.
The Outward Bound Trust is a Checkpoint Partner for our Ultra. They are are an educational charity that inspires young people to believe they can achieve more than they ever thought possible.
James Kirby is an experienced adventure sports photographer who chooses the best locations to capture stunning images of our runners out on the course whatever the weather. All event photos are supplied free on our Facebook page shortly after each event. James is committed to environmental responsibility and regularly cycles to our events.

We raise funds for a range of charity partners to enable them to continue their valuable work in the Lake District National Park.
Brathay Trust, based on the shores of Windermere between Ambleside and Coniston, supports over 7,000 young people each year, inspiring growth and positive change that lasts a lifetime. They were pioneers in the outdoor education movement and have been at the forefront of young people's development since 1946.
With a rich history of empowering young people through experiential learning and community support, Brathay Trust continues to impact lives positively, fostering resilience and unlocking potential in young people from across the UK.
Calvert Trust - The Lakes has been welcoming guests with disabilities to its dedicated centre, so that they can enjoy the benefits of outdoor activities in a safe and accessible, yet challenging environment. Although part of the Calvert Trust family, with other centres in Exmoor and Kielder, the centre in the Lake District was the first to open and retains a unique feel and approach.
Set in a stunning location overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake, their main centre is fully accessible throughout, also having its own stables and boathouse at separate nearby locations. They endeavour to run as many activities as possible out in the wider Lake District so that their residents also get to explore one of the most beautiful parts of the UK.
As part of its charitable aims, they also offer locals and visitors alike the opportunity to use our state of the art water centre and riding school to ensure that every aspect of what they do is open to as many people as possible.
Cumbria Wildlife Trust looks after 41 nature reserves you can visit. These natural treasures are home to plants and animals, but they are far more than this. They help to combat the negative impacts of climate change by locking up thousands of tonnes of carbon and stopping it from seeping into the atmosphere. In some places, nature reserves store water after heavy rainfall – helping to reduce flooding.
One of these wildlife havens is Foulshaw Moss Nature Reserve just off the A590. This place was damaged in the 1950’s through drainage and a commercial tree plantation, with much of the wildlife lost. Over many years, Cumbria Wildlife Trust nurtured this site back to health, the wildlife has returned and this peat habitat is now locking away 5,392 tonnes of carbon each year! Carbon that would otherwise leak into our atmosphere and contributed negatively to climate change.
