Volunteering is a really rewarding experience which is why you see so many familiar faces in hi-viz on the course.
We have positions available for all sorts of often straightforward, yet important roles, from marshalling and stewarding to helping at water stations and giving out T-shirts.
As thanks for your support, you’ll receive huge gratitude from the runners (the main reason for doing it, right?)...and a few goodies from us including a FREE entry to a future event.
All we ask is that you make yourself available to attend a safety briefing at 9am and then help us until 1pm or from 12pm onwards; and you're happy to let us decide where to allocate you.
Much as we'd love to, we can't accommodate specific requests for where you'd like to go as it's a huge logistical challenge to allocate marshals and our priority has to be the safety of the runners.
We might still be able to find an important role if you're only available for a short time but you'd need to volunteer a couple of times for it to count towards a free entry.
So, whether you're injured, having a break, coming along with another competitor, or just fancy helping out and having some fun with our friendly team we'd love to hear from you.
For regular events, please fill out our quick form HERE and we'll get back to you.
Please fill out THIS FORM if you're able to volunteer for the Ultra.
Thanks!
In return for your support, you’ll receive:
Volunteer for at least 2 events during the season and you'll also receive an invite to our pre-season Trails and Ales party
Lakeland Trails also actively involves local community and charitable groups. At some events, many of our marshals on the course are provided by organisations the Lakeland Trails support financially, including Coniston Mountain Rescue Team.
