This year, we've seen an increasing number of people choosing our BiodiversiTee option because they don't want to collect an event t-shirt at every single race. After all, how many t-shirts do you need and how many simply sit in a cupboard?

We all need to do our bit to reduce consumption and live a little more sustainably and there's so much more to running our events than picking up a t-shirt at the end. You just need to look at all of the smiling faces in the photos on our Facebook and Instagram pages!

For 2024, we're separating the cost of the event entry from that of the t-shirt, reducing the basic entry fee by a considerable amount and keeping the cost of the t-shirts as low as possible, bearing in mind they have been our biggest cost increase this year, which we have not passed on. The exception to this is the Ultra, as most people have already entered for 2024. We will continue to include the t-shirt / BiodiversiTee option for that. Also any entries deferred to next year will remain unaffected.

As part of the entry process, you will be asked if you'd like to buy an event t-shirt and it will be possible to add a t-shirt to an order up to 4 weeks before the event. Part of the excitement of the races is not knowing what the t-shirt colour will be and due to the availability of stocks, we won't usually be able to disclose the colour in advance...just like now.

We will have new t-shirt designs for 2024 and for our events which are held over the course of a weekend in Coniston and Glenridding, there will be ONE t-shirt for the weekend.

In the last year, we have donated several thousand pounds to Cumbria Wildlife Trust and other beneficiaries such as local schools so that we can invest in sustainability projects within Cumbria and we intend to continue that support going forward.
